Caylee Anthony's Grandfather Under Suspicion?

In a strange turn of events, the grandfather of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony was taken into custody by police early today after being reported missing late last night. Could this have anything to do with Caylee Anthony's death?

George Anthony has been steadfast in defending his daughter, Casey, who is accused in the death of his granddaughter, Caylee. Is there something more to this story? Could he be involved somehow?

Detectives found George Anthony at the Hawaiian Inn Hotel in Daytona Beach at 2:30 a.m. ET Friday, said Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's department.

Brad Conway, the Anthonys' attorney, told CNN affiliate WFTV that Anthony was taken into custody under Florida's Baker Act, which allows the state to hold people involuntarily pending a psychiatric evaluation.

Anthony has been embroiled in a crime saga involving his daughter, Casey Anthony, and his 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee.

As most of the world knows, Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with killing her daughter Caylee, who was last seen in June. She was arrested in October and charged with first-degree murder and other offenses, despite the fact that her body had not been found at the time.

"Oh, Caylee? She's with, hopefully, a loving family that's taking care of her," George Anthony said.

The next day, Caylee's skeletal remains were found in the woods about a half-mile from George Anthony's home.

If convicted, Casey Anthony could face a sentence of up to life in prison.

Something is not right here. Was he with a hooker? Did he just wander off? Did he have a breakdown? Just needed a break?

We will hear all the theories in the next few days.
